Welcome to Slate Creek Farm in Remsen, NY.
About Our Farm
We are a small farm located in Remsen, New York established in 2009. We pride ourselves in serving high-quality free-range chicken, duck, eggs, pork, beef, rose veal, and lamb. Although we are not certified organic, our practices are organic. For instance, our animals are not given medicated feed or growth hormones and live as nature intended- outside in the sun and munching grass to their hearts content.
Farm Pickup
You can order from our inventory at any time if you want to come to the farm to pickup your order. Just place your order and leave a note in the comments about which day you would like to come to pick it up - Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 3:00-6:00 pm. Farm Pickup orders can be paid for online, OR in person.
Dropsite Delivery
We currently deliver orders to:
- Oneida County Public Market 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month 9am - 1pm
- Utica, Clinton, New Hartford and Rome areas available for home delivery
- Shipping is available please include your address in your email and I will get you a quote on the shipping amount.
All orders to be shipped MUST be paid for online, before they leave the farm.
Product Availability
To see the products we have available, simply click on any product categories to the left. Quantities are limited to what you see. As orders are placed, the quantities go down instantly. We update the inventory as new foods become available. However, the dairy inventory is extremely variable and impossible to keep fully updated. When you order dairy, please leave a phone number in the comment (and if I should text or call) so that I can confirm that your order will be available on your preferred pickup day.
There is no minimum order size. You can order anything you see listed.
Naturally, our inventory is changing all the time, and our supply of certain cuts is limited by nature's design of animals. We need to market all the parts, and everything we sell has healthy and tasty applications. It's all in knowing what to do with them. We can help you with that, if you have questions.
Note that many products are priced by weight, so the exact pricing will not be known until we select the actual items that will fulfill your order. However, the shopping cart will show the approximate total cost for each item. When the order is placed, you will receive an immediate confirmation email with a copy of your order, including the approximate pricing.
